Chesed: Members provide acts of loving kindness to our COH family, in times of need and joy.
Chair: Annette Marcus
Chevra Kadisha: The work of the Chevra Kadisha begins before death (visiting the sick, life review, ethical wills, funeral and burial planning), continues through the time of death (taharah, shmirah, kri’ah and burial), to the year after death (consoling mourners, meals of comfort, shiva, and grief processing), and beyond. Members volunteer to support these

COH Book Club: Meeting on the second Wednesday evening of the month, members lead reviews and discussions of fiction and non-fiction books exploring our Jewish culture, history, politics, relationships and diverse interests. Titles are chosen once a year by votes of all members. Organizer: Sheila Dalmat
Daytime Book Club: Members meet monthly on a Wednesday afternoon to discuss books that reflect our culture and times. Organizes: Harriet Kaminsky | Hanora Rosen
Education: Members create new programs as well as support our existing inclusive learning opportunities.

Kiddush/Onegs: Members help organize the nosh we share on Shabbats. Join our Baking Crew or help plan our community Shabbat dinners and events. Chair: Melinda Burke-Budhram
Membership: Members build and strengthen connections to COH through outreach and in-reach, seeking and welcoming new members and supporting creative programming. Chair: Karin Golan
Men’s Club: Members involve Jewish men with Jewish life, both at COH and in our broader community, through social, educational, and philanthropic activities. President: Paul Flexner
Or Nashim: Or Nashim is a group of women who come together to have fun, share interests and enrich our lives via social events, educational and spiritual programming. Rosh Hodesh serves as an anchor to its goals.

Ritual: Members enhance the religious and spiritual needs of the congregation, working with Rabbi Lauren and Dr. Amy, to provide meaningful, inspiring, programs and services. Chair: Morris Benveniste
Seed-to-Feed Garden: Members plant, tend to, and harvest our community garden as part of our Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) initiative to feed the hungry and support our neighbors in need. Chair: Renee Videlefsky
Softball Team: Members of all ages comprise our amazing, long-standing slow-pitch Softball team that plays in the Atlanta Men’s Synagogue Softball League on Sundays every summer. Captain: Ben Nadler
Tech Crew: Volunteers run the cameras, audio, and Zoom for Shabbat services and special events. We will train you--it’s a mitzvah to make our services accessible to everyone! Chair: Heather Blank
Tikkun Olam: Our members bring to life the Torah’s vision of a just and compassionate world through tzedakah (righteous behaviors promoting equity and sustainability) and g’milut hasadim (caring for the community however we can - with money, through working with our hands, souls, and minds, putting our values to work). Chair: Renee Videlefsky
Torah In the Woods: Members meet weekly on Tuesday at noon for thoughtful discussion of the week’s Torah portion. Led by Rabbi Lauren and Dr. Amy. Organizer: David Woodsfellow
Torah Readers: Torah is a central part of our religious lives. We invite volunteers to read both Torah and Haftarah during Shabbat and holiday services. Chairs: Robin Lewis | Ronette Throne
